85 High Street, Esher (old ABC Music) refused planning consent
The planning applications at the old ABC Music building on the high street have been refused planning consent by the Elmbridge Planning department. The reason given for Planning application 2021/3275 was:
The proposed development, by reason of its part two-storey/part single storey rear extension, front railings, rear dormer window, alterations to the fenestration and internal alterations to the ground floor, would result in material harm to the listed building, the setting of the listed building, the character of the conservation area and the street scene. The proposal would be contrary to policy CS17 of the Core Strategy 2011, policy DM2 and DM12 of the Development Management Plan 2015, the Design and Character SPD 2012 and the NPPF 2021.
