Judo for ALL kids in Hersham

…for all kids, able bodied or those with additional needs.

We’ve just had World Mental Health Day, but did you know that sport in general and Judo, in particular, is considered to be one of the best means of keeping healthy not just physically but mentally as well?

Hollywater Judo Club (Hersham) is a community based club for children. They train every Thursday during school term time at the Hersham Community Centre, Burhill Road, Hersham (for those unsure where the Hersham Community Centre is, it is opposite Piglets play centre)

Children who are aged between 4 & 7 train between 5:30pm & 6:30pm and children 7+ train between 6:30pm & 7:30pm. All children follow the International Judo Federation Training syllabus with children under the age of 8 following the SHO Syllabus and those over 8 the MON Syllabus (note some children who start the sport after their 7th birthday can follow the MON Syllabus)

Hollywater Judo Club is not only a Sport Governing Body Registered Club (in the UK that is the British Judo Assocation www.britishjudo.org.uk) Hollywater Judo Club is also registered with the Special Olympics Great Britain www.specialolympicsgb.org.uk (in fact the only Judo Club in Surrey that is) Hollywater Judo Club is also an Approved Judo Club with British Blind Sport www.britishblindsport.org.uk
