Happy Christmas
A big thank you to all our supporters this year.
Our Chair, Simon Leifer, won a great victory in May and has already turned out to be a dedicated councillor. His deep legal knowledge is a considerable asset to us all.
We continue to work hard in our “Change Esher” campaign. There are green shoots from our involvement with ElmbridgeBC and SurreyCC’s proposals to improve traffic flow, a revitalised public realm and a mixed use development on the Civic Centre site, courtesy of the persistence of our own Cllr. Simon Waugh.
However, there are things that concern us greatly as we move into 2025.
We are deeply concerned about the Government’s wishes to build on the Green Belt land – something we have fought since our inception. Similarly, the Government’s cancellation of 2025’s local elections seems to us to be utterly anti-democratic.
There is much to fight for in the New Year, in the meantime, this wonderful image was taken in Thames Ditton.
Again, we wish you all a Happy Christmas and a safe and thriving New Year.
