The Esher Residents Association AGM will be held on Wednesday 12th November 2024 at 7.30pm upstairs at The Albert Arms, Esher. All residents of Esher, Lower Green, West End and Hersham Riverside are welcome.

In addition to the standard AGM matters, the key topics will be:

What will be the future of the Esher Residents Association?

The Local Government Re-organisation (LGR) proposes to dismantle the current 11 Borough/District Councils (e.g. Elmbridge) and the County Council and replace them with 2 or 3 unitary councils. This will be a dramatic change with many pros and cons.

The revised Wards will be much larger, with Esher joining with Claygate and parts of Oxshott and losing the Hersham Riverside/Longmore area. This raises the question about what the future of the ERA is in the new landscape.

This is your opportunity to listen to and ask questions about the future of local politics and the ERA.
