Esher Station Car Park Closed till 13 Feb
We have received the following notice from Network Rail about repair work at Esher Station
I am writing to you today to provide information on our resurfacing work at Esher Railway Station. You may be aware, work started on Friday 27th January. Please do excuse the delay in sending this information across to you directly.
Work is expected to finish on Monday 13th February. We’ll be removing the top layer of tarmac and replacing it with a new layer of tarmac to improve the surface, we’ll also be upgrading the kerbs and drainage within the car park area. We have planned these works to try and complete the noisiest parts at the start of each shift wherever possible and specialist equipment designed to minimise the noise will be utilised, but some of our equipment may cause noise disturbance.
You might be able to see colleagues working on site, hear the machinery or notice increased traffic from delivery vehicles. For the safety of our teams, we’ll use bright site lighting. All colleagues on site will be briefed to keep use of loud machinery to a minimum and switch off van engines when near to residential properties. During this essential work the car park will be closed and won’t be accessible to passengers.
Work will take place as follows:
