Please contribute to Esher’s ‘Design Codes’

As part of the new Local Plan, ElmbridgeBC is creating a series of design codes for each neighbourhood. These will inform developers and architects as they plan new buildings and will help them reflect local character and design.
We’ve all seen incongruous, inappropriate developments on our doorsteps and we wholly support the creation of these codes which should go a long way to preventing these aberrations in future.
We are really keen that as many Esher Residents as possible contribute to the creation of these codes and there will be numerous opportunities to do so over the next few months. However, the first such opportunity will be on Sunday 15th October at the first Esher Farmers’ Market – where the Council will have a stall. Come along and get involved.
