A brand new theatre is opening in September in the centre of Esher. King George’s Hall, which is between the High Street and the Civic Centre, is undergoing a major refurbishment turning it into a state-of-the-art theatre and performing arts venue.

With a capacity of 240 people, it will host a range of theatre, live music, comedy and family entertainment. The initial line up includes music and theatre productions, plus comedy from Andy Parsons and Harry Hill. There’s even a ballet performance of The Nutcracker scheduled for December, as well as Christmas and New Year entertainment.

The theatre will also include a new bar to offer drinks from Surrey and other UK-based producers.

The building will be available for hire during the daytime for community based classes.
